Problem with multi-page scanning since latest update

Since the lastest update has been activated I now cannot scan documents from my MFC J6510 as the program hangs at first document and basically crashes program.  It wont let me do anything as it messages that a scan is still in progress.  What I have learned about adobe is that the original program works fine but dont let adobe update as there is always an issue with printer opeation afterwards. Anyway anyone got any ideas how to fix this?
