We're new to Adobe Scan but we have around 50 people using the system to scan and send documents to a central customer with a link for them to open.   The link can consist of maybe 60 scans.   The customer is complaining that the files are sometimes too large to load into their system, e.g. 71mb.   They're suggesting that we could scan documents in black and white to reduce the file size but I cannot find out how to do this or indeed, any other way of reducing the scan file size.   Any suggestions much appreciated!

Hi Gisby,

In Adobe Scan application, you can change the color to Grayscale before saving the document to PDF. That will save the PDF in black and white. You may check if that works for you.

However, there is no option in the applicaiton to reduce the file size. You will need Acrobat DC application to reduce the file size.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Meenakshi

Using scan on iphone.  Files are uploaded to cloud.  I actively need newer files but at a certain point I want to reduce clutter on Iphone and get rid of older files.  #1 - It seems files are totally syn'd so deleting from phone or online cloud  removes the file altogether.  IS there an archive function?  Would seem that Adobe would recognize not every file need to be on the phone.  #2 - If archiving the file from the phone is and option there seems to be no "Check box" or whatever that allows me to select multiple files for mass delete on phone making the process incredibly tedious.  Am I missing something?

Hi, I would like to scan documents for my business (finance-stuff) but the size of my scans is always to large (>1 MB, > 500 KB).

How can I reduce the size for every scan on Android?

Thanks

Hi Cordula,

As per the issue description mentioned above, size of the scans are always larger while scanning the documents, is that correct?

Could you check you have the latest version of the app installed on the device? Also, try turning off text recognition on saved pdf and check if that helps. Refer to the steps given in the following help document for the same: App Settings — Adobe Scan Help

Let us know if you need any help.
