Save files LOCALLY

Why cannot Adobe Scan app just store the file Locally in the phone storage, why do I have to download my own documents from a server that I do not intend to use. 

I had to upload a very urgent scanned document to my boss and it took me 30min just to find out the scanned document is not even on my phone, could've cost me my job.

Why is there NO OPTION AT ALL to save files locally, what if I don't have access to internet somewhere, how will you pay for the loses cause of your NOT-NEEDED services. It was just soo frustrating

I won't be buying OR recommending adobe products to anyone anymore.
