Scan app not working on a 2-in-1 Chromebook

I use the scan app on my iPhone 6 and it's amazing!
Unfortunately, I am trying to get the scan app to work on a 2-in-1 Chromebook that runs Android apps. I've installed the app but do not see OCR functionality. All that basically happened was the app took a photo of the document that was pretty poor quality and the app was not able to enhance the picture or make it a readable document.
