Scan to email?

i need my scans to go directly to my email address.  The app is useless to me unless this feature is there.

Will this be coming in an update?  All other features and operations are great but I won't be using it without this feature. Thanks.

While saving or after saving scans as a PDF, you can share the file via email by tapping "Share File".  Please refer to Working with Scanned Documents — Adobe Scan Help.

I tried this a number of times and no e-mails were ever received.  Out of all the possible options under share, the only thing that I was able to get to work, was to send a link to a phone number via text message.  Why are the other options offered if they do not function?  Why does it just silently fail?
