I am recently scanning a lot of documents with my IPad. After scanning I use the share function to save the files into folders on my IPad. But every few minutes the drop down menu that usually shows all my folders is just grey and I can't select anything. What is the problem?

Sorry for the delay in response.
When you scan the document, please make sure that the document is saved.
Try to use the share icon once the document saved successfully.
Check if you still experience similar behavior.
If the issue persists, please share the application version and the OS installed on your iPad.
