Aha! That is the problem we users are facing; Adobe's unethical policy seems to be - 'We own your scan' and they upload to cloud without our permission.

Personally, I feel you are ina better situation - your documents dont get gobbled-up by Adobe cloud.

Following are Adobe's unacceptable reasoning and my response:

Adobe (Souvik):

Thanks, @Sesh28, for the response.

By default, Acrobat does not upload PDF files saved on internal storage to the cloud.

If you are using tools like Create PDF or Convert to PDF, then the files are uploaded since Acrobat uses online servers to convert or create your files.

That said, if the Create PDF feature is used, the original file is not uploaded; instead, the newly created file is stored on the cloud.

If you are simply using tools like annotations or Edit PDF, the files are kept intact at their original location without any modifications.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,
Souvik.

I:

Thanks, Souvik, for trying to justify with a skimpy reason for your unpermitted uploading of my documents.

If  the resources I have subscribed to create pdf or convert to pdf is in your cloud that is your choice and these days all apps do it;  dont you think before uploading to cloud Adobe should ask for my permission? Through my subscription to ADOBE TOOLS, can ADOBE ASSUME OWNERSHIP of my documents?
I have only paid for your tool to convert or create pdf but that does not mean Adobe  can decide to upload without obtaining my express permission.

I see. Thanks. the licence is very expensive (even if we have no access to cloud storage) and I believed there was a way to use Scan without the cs.
