How do you turn off the autoscan feature so I can compose what should be scanned manually? The autoscan feature incorrectly identifies the area I want scanned.

Thank you for using Adobe Scan.

You can disable auto scan by tapping at the icon on the upper right above the capture screen.  Please refer to "Enabling auto scan" on App Settings — Adobe Scan Help.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

If you are referring to the blue outline that occurs to capture the boundary of the document, sorry to say there is no default option to remove that.

You may try capturing the document from a distance. Check if that works for you.

You may share your feedback for this over here Scan iOS Feature Request and Bug Report Form

Hope the information helps.

Really….i am surprised I only see one other person complains about this. I personally find this blue outline very annoying, and I can never get what I need to be scanned correctly. Either way more than or mostly, only part of the page. I guess this is not my app. Thanks.

Irrespective of the fact if auto capture is on or off on my mobile phone (IPhone), there is always a blue rectangle trying to catch the area to scan.

Unfortunately the Auto capture is never covering an entire page but just the text on the text which makes the scanning incomplete.

What can I do to really switch off auto capture and make my scans manually ?

Thanks for your support !

I'm finding that the auto scan is very aggressive, as one reviewer put it, which for me means that it wants to go ahead and capture the image as soon as gets anything that resembles a document in frame. Turning off auto capture unfortunately turns off automatically cropping to the document.

I'd like the middle ground .. have it automatically crop to the document but wait until I tap the photo button before it commits.
