Unable to recover deleted item that was deleted from Android Adobe Scan app - Help!

Hi all,

 

I was going through my Adobe Scan files on my Android phone and deleted some of them. I then realized that I needed to retrieve one and searched for a solution and found that I could log into Adobe online and look for my files here as long as it is within 30 days of the deletion date: https://www.adobe.com/files/deleted

 

However, it does not appear. I then made a test and immediately deleted another file from my Adobe Scan Android. Then went to check the deleted files folder again and it does not appear there.

 

I then used a browser on my laptop and went online to my Adobe Scan subfolder in the cloud and deleted another test file. Now this time, I could find the deleted file inside the Deleted Files folder.

 

So it appears to work from a web browser but not when I deleted it from the Android Adobe Scan app. How do I recover the file I deleted using the Adobe Scan app?? It doesn't appear to behave in sync as per the browser application.

Hope you are doing well. Sorry to hear about your experience with Adobe Scan.

 

Files deleted directly through the Adobe Scan application are not stored in the deleted section of Creative Cloud. 

 

These files are synced through the Acrobat Cloud Storage, and the portal does not have the Bin feature.

Hi Souvik,

 

thanks for your reply. That's why I found it odd that the same scanned file, when deleted via web could be recovered, but not when deleted from the app. That seems like inconsistent behavoir and could be corrected. Is the feedback link you shared intended for me to provide this feedback to Adobe in hopes that they may change the way deleted scans are handled in the app?
