When I copy a document and want to email it after making adobe scan the default email is my Gmail but I want the default to be my Hotmail account. How do I change this default?

I understand you’d like Hotmail to be the default email account when sharing documents from Adobe Scan instead of Gmail.

For better understanding, could you please share more details:

• Which device are you using — Android or iOS?
• When you tap Share > Email in Adobe Scan, does it open the Gmail app directly, or does it open a mail selection screen?
• Do you have the Outlook app installed on your device and your Hotmail account added to it?

Please try the steps below and see if that works:

1. Install and set Outlook as your email app: If you want to send emails through your Hotmail account, installing the Outlook app (which supports Hotmail accounts) can help. After installing it and signing in with your Hotmail account, some devices allow you to select it as the preferred email app when sharing files.
 

2. Check your device’s default app settings: On many devices you can change the default email app:

Android:
Go to Settings >Apps >Default Apps >Email App, then choose Outlook instead of Gmail.

iOS:
Install the Outlook app >go to Settings >Outlook >Default Mail App and set it as the default.
 

3. Choose the email app from the share menu: If your device shows multiple options when sharing, you can select Outlook and send the scanned document from your Hotmail account.
