Question

Where is Adobe Scan saving my contacts?

Hey, I went to scan another batch of business cards, but after a few I noticed that the contacts were not showing up in my Contacts or in my Outlook app. After searching, I couldn't find the contacts anywhere. Can anyone help me get Adobe Scan to save contacts in the right place?

I'm using an Android phone.

Hi @Ahshra ,

Hope you are doing well.

Thank you for posting your query here. Please help me with few details to understand your issue better.

  1. Make and model of your device?
  2. Application version?

Scan app stores contacts on default contact location of your phone. Please double check your phone contacts. To add the scan data to your contacts:

  1. Tap Add contact icon.
  2. When the New contact form appears, enter or edit the details. The scan appears at the top so you can verify the information.
  3. Tap tick icon.

Note that the add contact icon appears in several locations if the app believes the image to be a business card, including thumbnail previews, the overflow menu, and so on.

For more help refer to:https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/adobescan/android/en/findingfiles.html?highlight=card#add-business-card-scans-to-contacts

Let us know how it works at your end. If you have any further queries please feel free to reach out to us.

Regards

Ria

Hey Ria,

I'm using an LG G8 ThinQ - Model LM-G820UM. Android Version 10 (G820UM20J)

For the app version, I'm using 21.09.20-regular

I've checked the Contacts app on my phone, but there aren't any entries in there from my scans.
