UI Design Tips for a Faucet E-Commerce Website – Using Adobe XD
Hey everyone,
I’ve recently been working on a user interface design for a bathroom and kitchen fixture e-commerce site, and I wanted to share some quick insights from the process, especially using Adobe XD.
My goal was to keep the design clean, intuitive, and focused on the product — since faucets and fixtures often have fine details that matter to the buyer.
Here are a few takeaways:
Consistent visual hierarchy: I used large product images with subtle shadows and clean typography to highlight essential info like size, finish, and price.
Component-based design: Reusable cards made it easy to manage a growing inventory without clutter.
Mobile-first approach: Since a large portion of users shop from mobile, I focused on thumb-friendly navigation and fast-loading visuals.
Real product references: To keep the visuals realistic, I used actual product listings like this one for a shouder faucet, which helped ensure that dimensions and product aesthetics were properly represented in the UI.
Would love to hear how others here have approached designing for similar retail or product-heavy sites. Any favorite XD plugins or resources you swear by?
