2022 AfterEffects not recognizing PNG files

I just upgraded to 2022 and knew it was a mistake. AE2022 opens up an existing project, but no longer recognizes PNG files. The lion's share of my work includes PNG. What could be the issue. The PNG files were working fine in the previous versions!

    Hi mmagandy,

     

    Sorry for your issue.

    What happens when you open the project? Do you see any error message? Are you able to import the PNGs in a new project? If so, importing your existing project into a new one could help.

    The project did not open with any errors. Did not even say this is a newer verison and will be producing a copy to continue. I did try to open a new project and had the same issue. AE would not recognize PNG files. I did notice that there was a further upgrade and after installing that, the issue has been resolved. Thank you for your help.

    Can you give me an update link that solved the problem?
    After updating to 2023 version, PNG file is not loaded.
