32-bit linear exr to 16-bit sRGB tiff - help

Hi everyone. I'm in the process of switching to After Effects after a decade in Nuke. I'm just getting started and I'm trying to figure out file conversion and color management.

Specifically, I have a single frame 32-bit linear exr and I want to export it from After Effects as a 16-bit sRGB tiff.

I tried dragging in the exr. The highlights are blown out, which I expected. But when I expose down, there's no visible range where there should be. The exr is behaving like a jpg. Do I need to change import settings in Ae somewhere before importing the exr? How do I set export color space when exporting a 16 bit tiff? I'm lost.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, is your project set to 32bpc to begin with? What are the actual ranges in the EXR? Where was it created? What LUTs/ profiles are you using for the conversion (if any)?

Hey Mylenium, setting the project to 32bpc worked. That's all I needed. Thanks!
