3D Extrusion depth not available in Geometry options?

Im trying to make a logo I created in illustrator a 3D layer so I can increase the extrusion depth and rotate it around an axis point. Ive converted the ai file into a png as because what ive read on here that creating shapes from vector layers with gradients is a problem (turning the logo a grey colour with outlines), so I thought a png version would be ok to convert into a 3D layer?. So Ive ticked the 3D layer box and changed the renderer to Cinema 4D (as instructed in tutorials) but when I open the geometry options of the layer I can only see options for Cuvature and Segments. So how can I get the extusion depth option?

Ive tried taking the gradients out of the ai layer and it hasnt gone grey this time but I still cant see extrusion depth in Geometry options?

its ok ive figured it out now

There is nothing to extrude on a pixel-based image. You need to use an AI file and if you need to use a gradient you have to find ways to fake it or do your work e.g. in Cinema 4D Lite, where such stuff can be applied as a texture and the scene then be imported via Cineware.
