Hi,

Like other people I have trouble to get real time playback with Ram preview in AE (since CC 2015 version because CC 2014 runs prefectly ok).

I've got the exact same problem describe by Jeff here:

https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/1118261

It seems that it is a bug in the After Effects UI related to 4k monitor display.

I've heard (not sure of that) that this bug occurs with some 4k monitors but not with other. I'm willing to change my monitor if it can solve the problem.

So I need a buying advice. Do you guys have a 4k monitor model to recommand to me ? Is there any 4k monitor that runs smootly the Ram preview in AE ?

I'm on Windows 10.

Thanks a lot.

Buy 2K monitor. I have 2x 4k HP Envy running on 2x NVIDIA 1080 and since I upgraded it's one problem after another. 4K monitors are nice for movies but terrible for work.

Well it is only a problem with AE since CC 2015, CC 2014 runs ok with my 4k display.

I don't have any problem with other softwares from other company. I need a 4k display for other use (I do 360 videos for example and I need to watch the result in 4k).

So if the problem comes from AE it is up to Adobe to fix the problem. At the very least Adobe should warn their customers and make a System requirement list that specifies 4k display incompatibility or problems.
