A gradient showed up on my composition and I don't know how to get rid of it.

I was positioning several objects and suddenly a gradient appeared. None of the other compositions in my project have the gradient. I don't know how it appeared or how to get rid of it.

 

As you can see, I have several Illustrator files placed in the composition. There are also several shapes that were made by creating vector shapes from one of the Illustrator files. I also have an additional composition, a camera, and a null object. I was repositioning the Illustrator files and the vector shapes when the gradient appeared.

 

How do I get rid of this gradient? It shows up even when I include the composition in my main composition.

Thanks for the tip about drag and drop. That is what I usually do but for some reason my school computer refused to cooperate.

 

You might notice that the circles in the upper left corner are darker than the circles in the bottom right corner. That is the gradient I was talking about. It affected every element in this particular compostion but the rest of my project have uniformly colored elements.

 

I did figure out what happened and intended to come comment today. I somehow turned on Advanced 3D. When I switched back to Classic 3D, the gradient effect disappeared.

Dragging your screenshots to the reply field or just a simple copy and paste instead of uploading them using the "Drag & drop here.." field makes them easier to see.

What gradient? I just see some circles on a white background. If the problem is a layer, you should be able to find it by turning off layers one at a time. When you find the layer, press the 'u' key twice and look for an effect of a gradient fill somewhere. The layer is probably a nested comp (pre-comp). If you still can't find the gradient, open it and start the search again.
