accessing alt characters

I can access alt character styles in PSD but why not in AE?? I have a font called Helvetica Now which offers a curved lower case L and in PSD can access but not in AE. I have to create text in PSD and copy/paste over to AE.

The simple answer is that Open Type features in AE are very limited compared to programs like PS & AI.

You could add a feature request for this feature.
