Question

Add Delete Frames script changed behaviour

Hi,

I use an super-awesome jsx-script called "Add Delete Frames.jsx" by Ben Chao for ages now.

It adds/deletes frames to a composition, counting from the playhead-position.

The script cares for moving keyframes and layers, as well as shorten or lengthen layers. Like a charm.

Since adobe never cared to adapt this feature (or not that I know of), it's totally priceless and essential in handling complex compositions.

So, since the last (after-effects-)update, this script changes the behaviour of the bezier keyframes. In a weird way. Making it pretty much useless since you have to go through all the keyframes again. The script surely hasn't changed, so adobe must have changed something.

I know nothing about the after effects jsx format, less so any changes adobe does with updates, so, I absolutely can't make out what could be wrong there. Maybe someone can take a look, or knows an alternative workflow, or an update of that script. It's still available here:

    Hi dotterbart666,

Please contact the author of the script for support on this issue. Sorry, I don't have any answers for you at this time.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

if the script, unchanged, worked before and does not work after an update to after effects; how exactly is the script author supposed to help?

It is after effects that changed, not the script ( and scripting changes are poorly documented and updated by adobe).
