Adjustment Layer Mask Problem

Hello,

I am using Adobe After Effects CC2017 and I have a question about Adjustment Layers. My adjustment layers are affecting just half of my composition. Is there something like a hidden mask? The adjustment layer option(the half circle is selected) so they work fine they affect only the layer below but still just the half of it. Is there a way to scale them? I don't want to create them again from scratch because there are too many variables. I originally created them in a different composition. Is there a way to fix them without recreating them all over again?

Thank you in advance.

You create a mask on an adjustment layer. The mask portion is what will affected. If you want half, create another mask that is half and set it to subtract. If you want to scale, scale the mask or use the transform scale property of the layer.
