Adobe after effects 18.4 won’t open

I need to work on a rush project but my after effects won't open (18.4) I get the start up screen but it freezes on "initializing required components". I'm on a Mac, please any help would be appreciated!

Could you share your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS)? Also, try the solutions mentioned in the following article: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects/faq-how-to-fix-common-after-effects-crashes/td-p/10684130
