Hi,

I get this message everytime I try to open After Effects:

The newest version. Tried everthyng, unstall it and re download it I get this message. Anybody know the fix for this?

There is some sort of security flaw with Adobe's products at the moment, or at least Mac isn't recognising them as legitimate products.

The known workaround (I'm reluctant to call it a solution...) is to open System Settings > Privacy and Security, scroll down to where you will most likely see the program and click Open Anyway. You'll still get the error, but can then force it to open.

The problem may come back every time the software is updated (ie reinstalled) until this security/privacy flaw is fixed.

Delete the Damaged App completely

  • Go to your Applications folder in creative cloud desktop app

  • Drag Adobe After Effects 2025 to the Trash.

  • Empty the Trash to fully remove it.

Reinstall After Effects from Creative Cloud

Issue will be fixed
