Question

Adobe Dynamic Link from Premiere to After Effects is buggy - anyone experiencing this?

Hi, on my last two projects where I've had sequence from Premiere in AE via Dynamic Link have been buggy. Timecodes with content that shouldn't be there, for example a scene or audio from a random timeline, blank or mirrored content.

I've not resorted to creating a Prores file from Premiere into Ae but it's an annoying step I'm having to take as I can't trust the dynamic link right now.

Seems to be only from Premiere Pro to AE.

Any ideas what's causing this?

Thanks for reaching out, defaultyrs80uzkvunk.

Please share the following details so that we can understand the issue better.

  • What's the version of After Effects and Premiere Pro you're using?
  • Are you able to recreate the issue on a new project? Or does it happen randomly?
  • What exactly happens? Could you share screenshots or screen recordings to help us understand the issue better?

Looking forward to your response. I am moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for troubleshooting.

Thanks,

Nishu
