Adobe isn't accepting my presets

When ever I try to open a file from presets its says file unsupported file type or extension, I downloaded this from a mega file my friend gave me access to, she has a mac and I have windows

You are trying to open an FFX file, you should be using the animation menu to apply an animation preset. Please check the User Guide or use the Search Help menu in the top right corner of After Effects to learn how to use and save animation presets.

It's not clear what you are actually doing. Presets are applied vie the Effects & Presets palette, not opened like AE project files. If you are indeed talking about presets then, just place them in the respective folders and have the panel refresh. Anything beyond that will require clarification on your part.
