Adobe subscription stole my bank details and now after effects and premiere pro are broken.

Question

As the title suggests, Adobe used their access to my computer through adobe software to steal my bank details from the encrypted file containing my passwords and bank details. Most likely automated.

Since that time, Adobe cloud software has gone full Stazi on my computer as it appears that the Adobe anti-piracy software was triggered by the illegal lifting of my bank details (The program knows that I didn't enter my bank details and is treating me like a thief).

I have been locked out of every program as they have all insited on an update before opening.

I have been completely locked out of premiere pro and after effects, they will not open. I am sitting at my desk, in front of my computer (I own it) that I use for work unable to use the programs that I have paid in full because Adobe, bizzarly, could not wait a day for me to enter my new bank details. I cannot currently do my ferkin JOB!!!!!

I am really not happy. Stolen from, lied to, locked out of the product that I have over-paid for over three weeks and now spending two hours trying to fix the problem that should not be happening only to realise that there is no fix for this anti-piracy software bug because it should not be happening.

Oh and before the first genious from the marketing department gets the brilliant idea to gaslight me about what happened to me on my computer. Just don't. Just go down to IT and tell them to turn the thing off remotely, you have my details.

What kind of moron hacks a computer to scrape bank details to pay for a subscription service? Spectacularly stupid! Unbelievably dumb! Stupendous! Bloody ridiculous! Criminal is the most fitting.

Check the law in the countries you do this before doing this, this is not legal here in Australia and this isn't the first time I've had similar issues to this with Adobe. It's not legal to hack in most countries.

Why would this even be a thing anyway? It only makes sense if you suffer from severe short sightedness. In every other sense, this activity is the epitome of needlessly dumb and greedy corporate bullying behaviour.

Why should I have to put up with three weeks of interruptions and frustration at work because of something so astoundingly stupid and greedy?

Alright, so after way too much work on my part I have finally figured out what Adobes anti-piracy software did that caused after effects and premiere pro to completely stop working in my case.

For whatever reason, it made changes to my registry files, specifically registry files that armory crate (Asus software for graphics) had been using as a reference to run my graphics card. As the files were not corrupt and only altered and un-readable. A registry clean & repair did nothing and nothing else worked from the list of possible solutions for this problem. There was also no way to know that my graphics card had suddenly disapeared.

The only thing that worked in my case was completely removing armory crate then re-installing so that it could re-write the original registry files and then use them to run the graphics card. I also followed all of the instructions for attempting to restart AE & PP that other users had suggested except completely re-installing windows (because FU that's why) so they may also have helped.

I am pretty sure this crap anti pirate software is the cause of all issues relating to this problem as every other solution is to repair damaged windows system files not long after forced updates. There was no explaination, previously, as to why it was happening from Adobe.

Once triggered, the aniti-piracy sofware uses the privilages it has been given via UAC and the underhanded stuff to make a complete system sweep checking in every possible way to find pirated software. My assumption is that part of that software needs to make registry changes to gain access to parts of the computer that it could not normally access.

In making these registry changes it creates a litany of other, un-intended issues and accidentally knocks out other programs. In my case it was premiere pro, after effects & armory crate as they all relied on registry entries that had been altered.

This is honestly just crap. Why is Adobe cloud anti piracy software messing around with registry entries pertaining to my graphics card? What could it possibly need there or need to change there to protect Adobe software?

Three weeks of crashes, glitches, error messages, locked out of programs, damage to my computer, frustration and now an additional five hours work on top of that just to get back to where I started.

Where will I send the bill Adobe?
