Advice on rendering green screen

I am doing some videography client work that requires green screen keying 4-6 minutes of 2160x3840p, 29.97fps footage. The key is fairly simple, I am using several layers of keylight 1.2, key cleaner, advanced spill surpressor, etc. to key out a background and get good aphas of hair, body, prop, etc. Where I am running in to trouble is with render time and render file size. I usually use adobe media encoder to render my projects in h.264 format using the 2160p youtube hq preset but the render times for these videos are absurdly long. However if I render using after effects, the file size is incredible large, like 3gb for every 10 seconds of footage. I there anything I can do to reduce file size and render time on after effects or adobe media encoder? I can upload the project and all video files if anyone would like to run this on their own machine.

There is a bug where rendering stuff in AME takes forever. Instead render directly from AE, be it just to an intermediate format like ProRes for later encoding. Also if you need to work with the transpüarencies consider rendering out image sequences. PNGs or even compressed TIFFs can result in very low file sizes in some cases. Also consider rendering an Alpha-only clip/ sequence that can be reimported and used as a track matte.

If you use the "High Quality" Output Module template, your rendered movie should be less than two gigabytes per minute and it will render much faster than H264.

In the latest version of after effects V23, you can simply export your project as H264 file directly from after effects so no need to use AME, even you can take the benefit of multi-core render inside AE

There is another option. You try this if you do not mind using the third party tool.
