AE 2017 and 2018 crash when I just hit "space"

Hi all, just installed a new system (X299, i7-7820x, 64GB, GTX 1070, , BMD Mini Monitor, Win 7 x64). Everything works fine, hardware has been checked many times.

So I install AE 2018, open the program, start a new project and create a composition, just one text layer. I can srub through the timeline without problems. But when I hit "space" AE will crash immediately.

I've tried everything including adjusting audio settings, enabling/disabling caches and so on. Nothing helped.

Unfortunately it's the same with AE 2017. 2017 Crash Log says the following:

Crashed thread:         93 [5680] THREAD_PRIORITY_ABOVE_NORMAL

Exception Code:         EXCEPTION_ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION

Exception Parameters:

Exception Message:      3221225501 {AUSNAHME} Ungültige Anweisung Es wurde versucht, eine ungültige Anweisung auszuführen.

Application Specific Information:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CC 2017\Support Files\dvaaudiodevice.dll

And now the funny thing: CC 2015 WORKS

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED. TIA !!!

Update audio drivers, please, DV_Chris. Is it working now? Please let us know.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

I have the same problem. When I want to get a preview(hit "space"), AE CC 2018 crashes all the time.

I tried to reinstall the program three times.  My signal output is FiiO E10K Olympus 2(USB) and SPDIF-> Marantz PM6005 In both cases, it is the same.

    My specification: Windows 8.1 64bit - i9 7940X, 32GB RAM, GTX1080 Strix Asus, 3xSSD only.

I would be grateful for Your help.

It tells you everything you need to know - there is an issue with your audio device. Check your drivers, preferences and preview settings. Presumably this may have something to do with your BMD stuff.

    As mentioned:

I've tried every combination possible .

It happens with onboard audio (Realtek 6.0.1.8279) and Blackmagic Audio (10.9.7). Doesn't matter if MME or Asio.
