AE 2017 font issues

I just updated AE 2017 and am now having issues with certain fonts; AE will only display the last character in my text when using fonts like courier, MS Serif, System, Terminal, etc. Text shows up normally when using other fonts but seems to have display issues with monospaced fonts. Any one else having this issue and/ or know of any fixes?
