Question

AE 2020 and RTX

I've have an NVIDIA Titan RTX video card on my PC.  AE2020 does not accomodate ray tracing.  What are the ramifications of this for performance and workflow?  Is my Titan RTX less of an asset now?  thanks.

AE's Raytracing Rendering Engine has been removed from AE 2020. Use an older version for access to the Raytracing Engine or use the Cinema 4D Renderer for similar albeit fewer features when extruding and raytracing AE Text and Shape Layers.

Completely irrelevant. AE's Raytrace 3D was never based on RTX to begin with and used plain CUDA instead. That being said, it has been declared deprecated several versions ago, so you're not doing yourself any favors by hanging on to it. It's a marked goner and I'm pretty sure the day when it will be completely removed because it gets too troublesome to carry this buggy mess around much longer isn't that far away...

Thanks.  Are you speaking of the Titan being a gonner ?
