There's something seriously wrong with this build.
I've decided to use the time it takes to START rendering a queue of multiple comps with a solid bg, prerendered anim comps and some vector logos inside, to express how disappointed I am in the way this product is being handled.
I'm using AE 24.1
Windows 11 Pro
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D 16-Core, 32 threads, 4200Mhz
64 Gb RAM
4090 RTX
Drivers are up to date. Even stopped using a double monitor setup (becuase i read somewhere that might help. As hilarious as that sounds) to see if that would help cause client is breathing down my neck.
There is absolutely no reason the UI is as laggy as it is and there's absolutely no reason for the incosistency in performance. Sometimes render queues take ages to start (see right now), other times items that would normally render in less than a minute (sometimes they do) take over 15. Constant hangs, constant crashes.
At this point this software cannot be relied upon and shouldn't be out I'm wondering why am I paying for it when it doesn't even come close to the standards that are to be expected of a professional tool.
This feels like nothing short of getting scammed.
If any one reading this is starting out their carreer, STAY AWAY. Learn any other software you can.
I'm hanging by a thread here only for the familiarity of it all but it's getting to a point where I can't rely on this to get the job done.
@Adobe, at the very least make the older versions more easily accesible. That's the bare minimum you should do. Stop giving us features no one else wants and focus on getting your builds to be stable and consistent.
I don't need a shiny new feature every year. I just need the product to work. Right now, it just doesn't cut it.
