AE 22.3 broken on M1 MacBook Pro

Question

Just installed the update this morning and upon launch I get an "I/O Error". After clicking Ok and seeing the dialogue window for all the plug-ins that aren't compatible, I can't select any of the menu dropdowns. They highlight, but I can't select anything.

Was so excited to finally get this update and now it's just totally unusable.

Anyone else running into this?

Welcome to the community.

Sorry to hear that you're getting the "I/O Error" when launching After Effects.

For the second issue where you're unable to highlight anything, can you click the After Effects icon in the dock and see if that allows you to select drop-down menus.
