AE 25.4 keeps crashing even after wiping computer and reinstalling everything

Hi everyone,

I’ve been dealing with strange crashes in AE 25.4 for weeks now, even when doing the most basic things. I started by running the Adobe CC Cleaner to remove and reinstall everything, but that didn’t help. Last night I went further and completely wiped my computer, then did a clean install of the latest Creative Cloud and Adobe suite, but AE is still crashing nonstop.

Sometimes I get error notifications, but most of the time AE just shuts down without warning. 

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

• Cleared cache
• Disabled multi-frame rendering
• Set cache drive to SSD
• Rolled back Nvidia driver to a version from May 2025 (still crashes)
• Opened AE 2024 (also crashes)
• Reinstalled Windows 11 and Creative cloud
• removed third party plugins 

At this point I’m wondering if I should roll back AE 2025 itself, the GPU drivers, or both, but not sure to which versions. Nothing has worked so far, and I’m completely out of ideas.
