Question

AE 26.5 (beta or non) crashes on startup on MacOS Golden Gate 27.2 Beta. Over and over and over and over again... Installing and using AE 26.3 was the only solution I discovered.

    Hi Allan,


    Thanks for reaching out. After Effects isn't officially certified against the macOS pre-release version, which could be the reason for the crash. A couple of things that'd help engineering start looking at 26.5 + macOS 27 compatibility ahead of GA:

    1. If a crash reporter dialog appears when AE 26.5 crashes, please include your email address before submitting. That lets the team pull the exact crash log on their end.

    2. Your exact AE 26.5 build number and macOS 27.2 beta build.

      MacOS Golden Gate Version 27.2 Beta (26B5086k).  ...I am not sure if this is the beta build info you want..

       

      For the AE 26.5 build number, I am not going to have that (am I ..?) since I have resorted to 26.3..  But I think it was build 2.
