AE Automatically switching to "Mercury Software Only"

Hi, I'm seeing this "Mercury Software Only" option enabled, every single time I open After Effects. I'm constantly switching in every session. Is there any way to make it default to CUDA?

Standard answer: Update your graphics driver and configure it suitably. Anything more than that will require proper info about your system. AE would not switch to software mode if there wasn#t a compatibility issue or some such thing.
