I got the same problem and I know what triggered it on my computer. 30fps videos are behaving really weird in 60fps comps, No sound at all. When I put the 30fps video into the 60fps comp the problems started to happen. This is so annoying, I need to get the video out very soon.

Ok, i don't understand why but now the crashes happens on the "Scanning Folder:" And it crashes at random files, sometimes at "Expressions", others times at "Mechanincal", etc...

So I guess my Initializing MediaCore issue is fixed, but not the main problem...

(Sorry for my bad english, I'm French)

Would you try to update the graphic driver? Do you use the latest version?

Yes, I'm using the latest drivers for my GPU, thanks for answering
