AE CC 2018 Crash in Boris BCC

Greetings,

It has come to the attention of the AE team that a steady stream of users is crashing in the AE CC 2018 release with Boris BCC.

Support at Bois has instructed that AE users need to to update BCC using the 9.0.5 installer, located here -

http://www.borisfx.com/download_files/BCCAE_64Bit_9.dmg

Let us (and them) know if this does not resolve this issue.

I tried the install and it still crashed AE CC2018. The application wont even load.

Thanks for reporting on this Paul. I have seen BCC9 in a couple of crash reports lately.

Yes, I was crashing as Premiere or AE 2018 was loading "2D Particles...", installed with 9.05 installer. If you remove the Library/Application Support/Boris FX folder, Premiere loaded without the BCC9 effects. I can only vouch for BCC9. I've reported to Boris.
