AE CC2014 Render-Only app requires login on one machine but not others

I'm trying to make use of the After Effects CC2014 render-only capability that does not require an active CC login.  It works fine on two machines but not a third.

I followed the procedure described here:  installing After Effects CC render engines with Adobe Creative Cloud | Creative Cloud blog by Adobe

As I mentioned, that procedure worked perfectly on two machines but not a third.

Any idea what could be different on the third machine?

Thanks,

This is a bug in CC 2014. Can't remember what the workaround was, but start by applying all updates. also try to install AE normally and sign in, then sign out again. I believe it's only looking fo a specific file that will be created this way.
