AE cc2020 Comp Preview Not working on macOS

I currently have AE cc19 & AE cc20 installed on my MAC. AE cc19 works fine and that is what I have been using. I downloaded AE cc20 and tried to open a project. Upon opening ever asset is available within the project. When I open a composition I can see the video output on my HDMI & SDI monitors, however I cannot see the video in the Comp monitor on my desktop screen. It simply shows up as blank. Also when I close AE cc20 it does not shutdown properly, I manually have to quit since it will say 'Application not responding'. I have reset the preferences to no avail.

 

system specs

MacPro (Mid 2010)

macOS High Sierra

2 x 2.66 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon

64GB  1333 MHz DDR3

ATI Radeon HD 5770  1024mb

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Joe,

 

Thanks for reaching out. Are you having preview issues with After Effects 2020 on a particular project or all of them? Are you using any third-party plugin for After Effects? Please share a screenshot or a screen recording so that we can understand the issue better.

Also, try creating a new admin account in your computer and check if After Effects is working fine in it.

    Hi Nishu

    It seems to be only certain projects. This particular one was an import from Premiere. At the time of import it consisted of only video footage. A mix of Panasonic P2 plus DJI Phantom 2k footage. Yes to the plugins, I use quite a few. Mostly Videocopilot and Red Giant, plus Animation Composer. I've included screenshots (I use two monitors).
