Ae Crashes on startup

Hi,

I have after effects cc 2019 installed and updated. My Ae crashes everytime on startup both when i open ae by itself or when am opening an project.

Can someone help me as to where in my system i will be able to find the crash report log, so that i can upload the same here.

Is this issue being faced by anyone else?

    No that issue was never fixed for us, We just reverted back to using Ae cc2018

    If this problem persists, I would get in touch with Adobe support. I imagine there's something in your hardware or other system config that's conflicting somewhere, and they'd probably be more successful at hunting that down with you.

    Have you tried resetting your preferences?

    • Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) while the application is starting.
    • A dialog box launches asking you if you want to delete your preferences file. Click OK.

    Hi,

    I tried pressing and holding Ctlr + Alt + Shift, but the dialog box never appeared. Therefore, i uninstalled my application during which i removed all the app preferences and then re-installed it again via creative cloud, still facing the same issue.

    After re-installing even when opening Ae for the first time it crashes. The crash is consistent and happens everytime i open Ae. It is pretty much unusable and for the time being i have reverted back to an older version.

    But i have some projects created in this new cc 2019 for which i have lost access now. Is there any other fix or update to solve this?

    Were you getting a message when it crashed?

    It's possible to down-save projects to an earlier version, but you need the version they were created in to do that. Do you have access to another machine with AE 16 (2019)?
