AE crashing after update

Hi there,

Today I tried opening AE after updating it through Adobe Cloud app, but it stops loading the program at "initializing MediaCore" and starts generating endless crash files on my PC desktop. I've tried unistalling and installing again, starting it up in safe-mode (which it wont), reseting preferences, managing plug-in (none of which willl open when I click the options on the pop-up window that comes up when I wan't to start AE) and I've done pretty much everything I know to try to get the software working.

Is there any kind soul to give me any advice on how to get it working again?

    Hey Matt,

    I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Previously installed plugins could cause problems similar to the ones you're experiencing. To test this, please go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore, move all the contents of the folder to another one outside of this directory, and try launching After Effects again. Let us know how it goes.
