AE - cursor flashing busy

Hello,

I have problem with my AE CC 2017 version 14.2.1.34, every 4-5 seconds cursor is flashing busy, even AE is minimized... I've seen it's common issue, but mainly with Illustrator, for AE I have found no solution. Please, can you guys help me?

I had this problem in one of our machines in our academy. The solution was to run a software to detect malware. And yes, detected malware and as soon as the IT guy removed the malware, flashing cursor disappear. Try to run any of the free utilities out there to check if you have this problem

Anyone find the real reason this happens?
Having the exact same problem. Running virus scan showed no issues. Flashing cursor starts after loading a project. Menus un usable. pc is an i5 with 8gb memory.

i have the same problem every time i open ae 2020 the cursor keeps flashing the busy cursor and doesn't let me select anything

i had same problem. its just so simple to solved it..

following this step.

press key win + r on the keyboard and then type msconfig and appears win application. klik startup on tab bar and uncheck on adobe creative cloud, aply and restart your computer.

it work in my laptop
