Question

AE delete selected layers/keyframes

I have this annoying problem/bug for a long time (4-5 month). I thought that it's just a bug which will be fixed with the new release of AE...but... no. Could please someone help me to solve it somehow?

Problem:

When layer selected (or it works with selected keyframes as well) any shortcut/button can delete this selected layer/keyframe. Just ANY button (p, s, backspace, a, t, 0, etc.)! I use shortcuts A LOT and this bug freaking me out! Usually, I just do "ctrl+z" for a few times and deleted layer comes back, but seriously...Adobe.. it should not be like this!

This bug appears not with every time I use a shortcut, but from time to time (1 time per 5-10 minutes and sometimes more often, sometimes less).

What I tried for solving this bug?

- Reset all preferences to default

- Re-installing AE

- Even re-installing Windows!

I have 1 work PC and one home PС and this appears on both machines.

Windows 10 Pro 64bit

i7-6800k

64gb RAM

GTX-970

Does anybody have the same problem?

Everything works great after turning off the Punto Switcher. Thanks!

Honestly, this is the first time I hear of such an issue. Any chance you are using a third-party application to change keyboard/shortcut functionality?

Nope.. But I use Punto Switcher program. It's automatically switch languages from Eng to Rus and and vice versa. I can turn it off and check if the problem is appear again.

I've never used Punto Switcher, but it's worth dissabling it when you get issues with AE and check if that helps.
