AE file will not open, Cinema 4D error

I have an old file that is giving me this error and then closes the file. Any idea how to fix this?

I have AE 22.4 installed and I am running on Mac OS 12. I also have R26 of Cinema 4D installed.

I am getting same error after uninstalling R25... I am running R26. The file is not old, but one that I am working on now. It has no C4D files in it???

Can you import the project into a new project? I don't know, but my guess is that might work.

I get the same error and the comps are all blank. Bizarre!

Welcome to the community.

Do you get this error while opening a particular file or any file? Are you able to launch After Effects and create a new project? Please try reinstalling After Effects.
