AE Graph editor problems

Question

Hello, I want to ask a question that i can't seem to solve.

when i keyframe my clips to easy ease and go to the value graph, it shows like hundreds and thousands of time duration on the y. When i try to move the dots to set it, it automatically smalls itself and is then impossible to set the graph.

how can i fix it?

The graph editor can be very tricky. Using the Value graph to edit anything but scale and rotation is, well, nuts. You adjust the position with the pen tool and set easing with the Speed graph by editing acceleration curves. If you are working with a property, like rotation, that responds fairly well to the value graph, then you can lock the display height and you can use the timeline zoom tools to move in on keyframes. The options are all available by right-clicking in the graph editor or by using the graph editor menu. Maybe this tutorial will help:
