AE hangs on collecting files

After I press collect files AE freezes on copying files. If i decrease project so it will have few images - it is ok, AE collect the project well. But if I have complex project with lot of files - it hangs. By the way every time it hangs on different file. For example on same project one time it copies 10 files and hangs and next time it coies only 2 files and hangs...

I have MAcBook pro m1, AE 22 (but AE beta and AE 18 also hang)

Maybe somebody had this problem before, help me pls I don't know what to do.

Are any of the files particularly large and chunky? Is there other activity on the system when you run the collecting? Sounds liek something external is interfering and interruptring the process if generating the report works and no errors are produced.

Files are not large, just jpeg images, full project is around 10 mb. I closed all other apps and even turn off the mouse (as I read that some people had problems with collecting when the moved the mouse) but nothing helped.

Well, do you have enough disk space? Also test your project and try to generate a report only. everything beyond that will require more info about the contents of the project, save locations and so on.

I have enough space. Report only works well. It even collect project only if it have 2-3 files inside. If more - freezing.
