AE / premiere dynamic link frame hold segment not working

Question

I selected multiple clips including 2 frame hold segments in premiere and turned them into ae composition.

But after effects turned the frame hold segments into just the original clips that the frame hold was made out of. I think this may be a bug.

-AE and PR are up to date

I talked to the devs about it. This is as designed. Workaround it to Add Frame hold after bringing in the After Effects comp.
