AE24 plug in conflict and import crash

AE 23 had issues with some plug in (mostly Trapcode) but it worked. AE 24 has more issues with the plug ins even when disabled, it would crash every few minutes. I've now deleted the plug ins entirely since I didn't use them much, now AE 24 won't import a simple photoshop file - it freezes and is unresponsive and needs a force quit. And now AE 23 does the same with importing, it freezes and needs a force quit. I'm back to AE 22 which works. Everything in the Adobe Cloud is updated. I'm on an iMac, 10 core Intel i9, AMD Radeon Pro 5300 4 GB, 64GB DDR4, running Ventura 13.3. Anyone else having these issues? It's sucking up my time.

It appears you may be attempting to repeatedly proceed while AE is in the process of recompiling GPU shaders. This is something that may take a minute or two, but should only need to happen once per update. There should also be a dialog indicating that this is happening, but it is minimizable and easy to miss in that state.

Try launching AE and let it just sit for several minutes before attempting to import or do any other actions. Does this resolve the issue you are having?

Thanks again for your reply. I opened AE24 and let it sit for 15 minutes, imported a simple photoshop file and again it froze. It freezes after clicking the 'Editable Layer Styles' in Layer Options in the pop up after it starts importing the file. Like before, in the Force Quit Applications window Adobe After Effects shows '(not responding)'. AE22 still works fine.

Is it specific to one .PSD or are you experincing the hang generally?

If it's specific to one file, could you share it here?

Also:

If possible, would you be able to create a log file and send it to us? You can enable the logging via Help > Enable Logging, then once you've encountered a crash, send the .txt files found in the "logs" folder of the After Effects preferences. They should be named "After Effects Log.txt" and "After Effects Log-last.txt".

Thanks for your reply, attached is the log.txt. I'm not seeing the Log-last.txt file. There are other txt files created at the same time, a screen shot is also attached. Let me know if any of these are helpful and I'll send these also.
