- Issue - Since the introduction of Video Thumbnails for Essential Graphics, I have been unable to create a Poster Frame using a neat trick. You used to be able to place your custom thumbnail one frame outside the composition to create a nice looking thumbnail without it being visible when placing in Premiere Pro. But since the recent update, I'm getting a black thumbnail in Premiere Pro, which is also the case when you export the Mogrt file as a zip file. The weird thing is that the Essential Graphic panel still shows the thumbnail, but when I click export I get a black frame.
- Adobe After Effects version number After Effects 24.3
- Operating system Windows 11 22H2 and Mac OS 14.4.1
- Steps to reproduce - Place your thumbnail one frame outside the composition. Place the play head at -00:00:00:01 and set the Poster frame for your Essential Graphic
- Expected result - When exporting, I should render the chosen frame instead of a black screen
- Actual result - a black thumbnail
