.aec files not importing into AE 2024.2.1

Hi, it seems that the latest version of AE (2024.2.1 Build2) is not allowing for the import of .aec files, even when the Maxon Cinema 4d extension is installed through the Creative Cloud app. My work-around has been to import to 2023, save out, then import the AE file into 2024. It works for now, but I wanted to let the devs. know. Thanks!
