aerender ERROR An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

I keep getting this error everytime I try to use aerender (via RenderGarden) on my computer.  It writes 0 kb targa frames but doesn't show any progress in the command line of writing the files, it just throws the error.

 

Adobe development team... what does this sound like?

 

Win10, connecting to NAS over SMB, latest update of AE.

    For anyone getting this Error with recent AE 2020, the Update to v17.5.1 fixes it.

    This problem still exists today, as of version 23.1. Still no meaningful explanation as to why it happens.

      Can confirm. We are also seeing this happen occassionally throughout our servers. Haven't been able to pinpoint any common denominator between the cases/server specs. It's seemingly almost random, and happens on both CC22 and 23.

      Without any exact info about your network configuration this isn't going anywhere.
